Dance, especially the abhinay aspect is coupled with story telling, through tales or poems . The stories that possess thematic content, imagery, rhythmicity and dramatic elements are adaptable to dance. The Nrityakavya initiative offers dancers the freedom to select any poem that they find compatible for dance transformation. The idea is to trigger the creativity of young minds to choose their idiom, music and costume.
