Dance essentially is a composite art form. The holistic understanding and knowledge of the form comes only after studying the allied art forms that are so closely connected with dance as an art form. The choreographic presentations are multi-dimensional, multilayered, and with multiple aspects that constantly pose  riddles, puzzles… Like a Jigsaw…. Scattered, disjointed pieces that need to find the correct place and frame!

With that in mind, Nad Roop has undertaken an initiative titled ‘Dance Jigsaw’…

The idea is to establish inter-relations between dance and Allied arts……

Be it poetry, painting, sculpture, even installations.

After mastering the technique and acquiring a reasonable amount of knowledge in Dance , a dancer needs to develop acute sensitivity towards these forms..

In this series, we invited 9 young dancers to connect with poetry of their own choice.

All the dancers really worked wonderfully well and presented their pieces with great sensitivity and skill. We want to now connect with painting the visual aspect..

The lines , shapes , compositions , colors and  space activation of a painting through dance…!
